    Battery and Light Bulb Circuit. Probably the simplest circuit that could be drawn is one that you might have noticed in a college science course: a battery connected to a light bulb as shown below.

    In the show circuit below, two light bulbs are connected in series. No nodes are necessary inside this circuit to reveal the bulbs connecting to each other and also to the battery because single wires are connecting straight to each other. Nodes are just placed in case a few more wires are all connected.
